I was replacing my fuel filter the other day and had a little trouble getting one side of the fuel line off because the small plastic clamp broke. As I was pulling the line off the plastic end (barb) of the electric fuel pump broke. I didn't pull very hard and it broke with relative ease which is somewhat disturbing. I went to get a replacement and it was over $160. My question is 2 parts. Does anyone know of any aftermarket brand of fuel pump? And if so, is theree one out there made of aluminum or any other kind of metal rather than the weak plastic the JD is made of? I don't want to pay that much money with the chance of breaking it while installing it.
