This last picture is of my late K9 Zeus! Guarding daddy's car, Zeus worked with me for about 8 years on patrol. I would trade the car to have him back! He could take the bad guy down so fast and so hard! Anyways, the car is a 96 Impala SS. I was hooked on the Caprice when we got them on patrol during 94-96. This is the civilian version of the 9C1 police car. Of course I have done many modificaitons so she had all I would dream of in a super fast car. Removed the factory LT1, automatic transmission and stock 308 gears. Had an engine built just for tubo application, six speed tranny with the Corvette LT4 pressure plate and clutch, GM 373 posi gears. Herb Adam suspension, 90 Corvette ZR1 wheels, 2006 Corvette top shifter, due to a couple of dings the body was stripped to bare metal by Chevrolet and redone. base coat clear coat black. I also removed the stock Impala seats as I slid around to much when raising hell, I now have the Bonneville 12 way seats! The best part of this car is she looks totally factory, no mickey mouse work.

Zeus looked
Very nice ride. :Chers: I remember looking at them at the dealership brand new.

Think they only used them rims for 3 years and one year with the cap over the lug nuts except the anniversery. I think the nic name for them were salad shredders.
Here is my old 89.

A close friend of mine has a mint ZR1 that I have drove quite a bit, nice car! I fell in love with the 90 ZR1 wheels as they allowed me to have the 315/35/17 tires on the back of the Impala. I know one thing, those rims are somewhat hard to find. My friend had one (slight damage) and the other three came out of three different salvage yards. Once I was able to locate a complete set I sent them to Georgia to have them stripped, aligned and recoated to factory standards. Then I put the correct Goodyears tire on. I believe I have about 3K in the wheels and tires. I try not to spin them very much due to cost, however, every once in a while something bad comes over me!

Couple more cars that I have built.

The first is my 54 Chevy, complete body of restoration, drivetrain, 67 327/375hp engine, TH 400 tranny with 373 gears. Removed the straight axle front end and added the mustang suspension. Disc brakes all around. Next is my 68 Charger 440, never restored! Only one chip in the paint and that was from a bicycle handlebar. Another nice car. My dream car, if I ever hit the lottery, is a 61 Impala SS 409/4 speed matching number. That of course is a dream for they go for about $150K

This past week we have had two days without any rain, roads were dry so out came the Impala SS. I only drove a few mile but I was in my glory! Of course I have to fill her up next time I drive and that is going to cost some a fist full of tens! About 22 gallon tank and due to the engine build and HP she like high test.
