I went to ACE hardware for another reason and happened by the electrical section. I was looking at the switches and saw one that appears to be form fit compatible with the cutout provided. It was $7 as compared to the cheapest I have seen on the web at around $14. I will try it tonight and report back as to whether it is an exact fit or not. I hope to use it on my Rugged Ridge driving lights if it fits.

They also had another the same size that is ON-OFF-ON in case you should need that.

I'm out of Dash Spaces. I'd like a switch that had both sides that worked. I would like to turn on my Adventure Light Kit at the same time as the Long Range Lights. (If/when I get them.) I would assume there is a Light Switch out there somewhere that would do this. The only other thing I can think of is to Jerry Rig the Long range Kit to automatically come on when the Main Headlights are turnned on.

You need a SPDT switch. Single Pole Double Throw to do that and yes they exist.

Ok, I just checked the switch and it is a perfect fit. The ACE P/N is 3135472 for the regular on/off one. I know I'm a miser. lol

Johnny, you can also get a piggy back connector that will allow you to connect two wires to the same lug on the switch. I slides over the lug and has two positions for terminals. Just amke sure your switch is rated correctly for the number of lamps you want to burn at once.

Just to follow up, anyone have any luck locating any other switches that are exact fits? I tried to locate the Ace Hardware switch but they keep telling me they have no such switch.

Thanks in advance for any information

Dan

Purplewg - Please recheck that part number. ACE says it doesn't exist!

I was looking for the wrong ACE! Is ACE Auto parts a chain? What is the URL for their home office? The only ACE Auto Parts I can find here in Southern New Jersey is a junk yard (excuse me "auto recycler").

It's Ace Hardware, not Ace Auto Parts.

I tried to search it on their web site and it shows nothing. It was not in the auto parts area, it was over in the electrical selection.
