First oil change

I am running Deere 0-40 synthetic oil in my 825i, It will pass Deere warranty need and with this engine max out at 6 grand rpm it will give it better protection and life over regular petrolium oil.

Any thoughts on our soon you should change over to synthetic? Someone once told me I should wait to get several hundred miles on a machine before changing over? I am not saying that is correct information, but just wondering as I would also like to use synthetic as I do in all my show vehicles.

I have always changed mine over to synthetic first oil change without any issues. Have done this for years. I used amsoil in the gator. Runs very smooth. Seems even more smooth then before.

I run Rotella in just about everything. My truck, tractors, mowers, motorcycles, and I will probably run it in the Gator also. It is a diesel oil and it exceeds all the requirements for all these machines. Makes keeping spare oil around easy also.
