825i Belt squealing at start up

I have a brand new 825i. When you start the motor, you can hear what sounds to be a belt
squealing for a couple seconds. I'm assuming this is in the CVT. Is this normal?

I had the same problem, but found that the noise was from the alternator belt. Made simple adjustment, no more noise.

same here it was the alternator belt

Same problem and same soloution. Take off the cover, rotate the alternator and *poof* no squealing.
