Folks get on forums and ask a question and never return.
Ask a question, get an answer and say " I will give that a try", and never respond again?
Post they are doing something and say, "I will let you know the outcome", and never do?

It happens on all the forums. On a boating forum, I asked about getting the gas guage on my pontoon to work again. One of the mods was kind enough to to write out in detail what I needed to check in my thread.
It finally worked thanks to his help so I PM'd him to thank him ( in addition to thanking him in the thread I started ). His reply was both a shock and sad, he said I was the first one in MONTHS that that thanked him and one of only a few that that said that their problem was fixed.

I wasn't pointing my finger at any specific person here for sure. I just see it happen on several forums. I just sit back and wonder why ask the question if they aren't going to let us know if we are all full of malarkey, or if we helped?

Good example Joe.... Or the guy I am trying to buy a stainless table from that he advertised. Said he would sell it to me and gave no contact info. A week later he asks if I still want it (email). I say yes, send me address and time to pick it up. No word for another week. Then an email asking if I still want it. lol I say yes send me contact info, no further word. Why bother to list stuff? I didn't try to low ball him either just said I would take it.

I don't think its possible bud. I think that the same cluster could be programed for something with a temp gauge. I have not found anything on it. I've searched high and low.

I figured that the temp display is built into the instrument cluster and gets the initial burst of power to test the display upon start up, but when it gets no input it shuts down. I am thinking maybe it might just require a sending unit to tell the display what temp to display. just thinking, i will check it out in a couple of weeks. broken wrist, not doing too much mechanical work at the moment.
