I just had my half winshield installed and a day later I noticed something. I cannot access the front storage without removing the winshield. This seems like a horrible design problem. I usually store some stuff up there and grab something once or twice a ride. I now have to take the winshield off to do that.
I'm starting to think I made a mistake. I looked at the winshield on my buddies A/C prowler and they have it right, you can still access the front storage area.
Any thoughts besides just taking it off?

I bought the Kolpin half windshield. It has screw knobs on the bottom of the windshield on each side. It folds up to access the storage area. I have not seen ones that do not fold up.

I could be wrong but, it appears to be a fixed unit. It does not have the means to pivot out of the way. That is what it looks like. Is there, was there any means of swinging it up out of the way? From what I can see, it looks like there are no hinges.

I would take it back and tell them to get you the folding one. It also allows more air movement when it is hot out.

You mean to tell me that JD makes a windshield that will not let you open the front hood, it's hard to believe that they would design accessories that are not be compatible with the vehicle. One better then that, the 08 Kawasaki Teryx has no hood, you get to dissemble the front to check the radiator and whatever else is under there.

Stole this off E-bay about a year ago for like $28.00 I have it as a backup in case I bust out the full windshield! :OhNoes:
I find on the full windshield the bottom flap is open about 96% of the time for nice cool air to come in. I agree in bringing it back and after closer look the dealership ordered the wrong one.
This is in my old attachments book but I think you are looking for part # BM22430 :Chers:
