How do you quiet the Gator?

The combination of the engine right behind you, the exhaust and the tire whine makes it impossible to hear the radio unless you really crank it up. It is just plain loud!! Has anyone tried adding Dynamat or some type of sound deadening material under the dump bed, inside the rear wall of the cab, on the floor, etc? Looking for any ideas that helped.

not sure if they make a stealth exhaust for the 825 yet. Mine is quiet enough to hold a conversation when cruising.

Everyone comments on how quiet my Gator is. You don't have the "performance" exhaust on it do you?

No performance exhaust. It seems to be engine noise more than exhaust noise.

Maybe you can find someone else that has one or go to a dealer and have them give you a demo ride. I don't find mine loud at all. I have a stereo system in mine and can hear it really well for being in an open cockpit.

I really want to hear one with the performance exhaust but most if not all i have been around at dealers is stock exhaust never been ther when one with performance exhaust is there

i have heard the performance exhaust on the 825i's. It really isn't that much louder than the stock muffler to be honest. It def. is not worth the 300+ dollar price tag. lol. As for the engine noise. Mine is quiet as can be.

I'm only 66 yoa and I still like my 50's and 60's Rock and Roll loud, what engine noise.

My JD 7130 cab is what i feel is quiet. The Gator is way loud compared to that or to a couple of the Turf Gators in the neighborhood.

Like Trainman I am also in the 60 catagory and abused my hearing for many years, over 20 years as a Marine in the Aviation field then another career in the LEO field, now I can't hear the wife. A bit of selective hearing! My 825i is so quiet, now that is according to my hearing level, she just purrs! When I watch the boob tube she is maxed out, when I talk with people some accuse me of screaming, hell I can't hear myself!
