Gear Shifter Off a Position

Well the 825 has 13 hours on it and I really broke it in tonight. I was in the pasture field over at the neighbors and drove right into a spring hole. Needless to say, I was very stuck. During the rocking back and forth, I heard the transmission grind once and then the gear shifter dropped a position. That is to say that reverse is where neutral was and neutral is down where drive high was and there is no low range. The lever on the top of the transmission did not appear to slip as it has a flat on it and is lined up perfectly. Any ideas what happened here?

There is a bracket where the shifter cable mount to the transmission. Make sure that is tight and didn't move. I had mine where it moved and had to be readjusted.
