Hey all. I'm from NE Arkansas, and have never had a SxS. I have a Prarie 650 that i ride now. Really interested in the 825i. Looked at a Ranger also, but like the 825 better.

Hey Cotton5000, I see you are from NE AR also. I live in Brookland. Don't farm any longer, but still have land.

Looks like a great bunch of folks here with a lot of useful information. I'll keep you all posted on what I do. Thanks Tim

Welcome Tim. Many of us here looked at all the other brands and somehow we all came to the same conclusion. The Deere XUV was the winner whether it be the Gas or Diesel.

Welcome to the forum, lots of good folks and useful information here.
You won't be disappointed with a gator, it's a work horse with a fun side.

Welcome my friend. As many of us, we looked around and test drove other machines. Like Purplewg stated we all ended up here. For the moeny you are going to spend I don't think you will find a better all around machine then the 825. One hell of a power horse that has so many uses. Sort of like a micro wave oven, what in God's name would we do without one!

Test drove 2 rangers today, one of them with power steering, nearly a thousand dollar add-on. Both had poor vibration in the steering wheel. The one with the power steering was not as pronounced. Salesman could not address the vibration in the steering wheel. It seemed to me to be coming through the engine (drive train) I somehow still don't seem to have a firm committment from john deere on order confirmation

?? Why??

Welcome aboard tims .... There are lots of nice pieces of equipment out there, I looked at almost all of them before deciding on the gator. Took delivery in June have just under 500 miles on it now and still loving it. Keep us posted whatever you do !

Thanks guys for the encouragement. Still haven't done anything yet. I usually take a long time to decide. On most things I wind up talking myself out of a purchase. We'll see. Thanks again

Tim, Cant go wrong the 825 you just as well sell your 650 you wont ride it once you make the change over. You might wait for the 2012 models they will be out before long.

Tim:
I've got a friend like you, takes a long time to decide. He's fun at auctions, I end up buying most of the stuff he bids on, he generally buys it from me before we get back home. Look for discounts on left over 825i's when the 2012 model hits.
Good luck however you decide to go.

welcome aboard bud. I love my gator! We got a foot of snow a few days ago and I went to go check my trail cam for deer. The thing is a tank!
