exhaust smell

I purchased a new 825i and it has what I am told is exhaust burn-in smell. Does this sound right and if so how long till it is gone?

It don't take long.. it's the new burning off the exhaust.. untill it gets hot for a while .. then it will go away..

It went way after a couple of hours of use ! Should not be a problem at all !
