My family burns wood for heat. I have 8 loads of wood to split. Got the gator out backed it up to the splitter, had my wife run the splitter while I split the kids loaded the gator. Wood never hit the ground. My wife would then take my son to stack and my daughter would take over running the splitter. It was a well oiled machine:)...just another great use for the wonderful John Deere Gator 825i...Just thought I would share:).....my kids enjoyed not having to walk:).....

I know...you need picts. I will try to get some today!!

Cutting and splitting wood is where I most appreciate my 825i. the most. With the front rack, I can carry everything I need for an entire day of cutting and splitting. I did add a 12" extension to the back so I can hook up the splitter without killing myself
Glad you are enjoying you gator, they are a wonderful tool.

Yeah, the many uses of the Gator. I use it at the farm to cut up old fallen limps and stuff and haul it back to the shed for firewood. Makes the clean up more fun too.

Last year I used my son's Radio Flyer wagon to haul my wood back to the house... this year a 'gator load' will fill up both my racks in my wood room. What took me four hours this year now only takes me an hour! I'd give up a kidney before I'd part with my Gator.

SRB08 I know what you mean about the front rack. I have found that to be one of the best options I have installed. We burn about mostly wood also and when I go into the woods each summer and fall, for next years wood, I put the chain saw, fuel and bar oil all up front. The 825i will hold quite the load. I just came in from taking the trash out to the curb, 6 trash cans in the bed (tail gate down), use to be six trips from the barn to the road before the Gator arrived, now ONE trip, THANK YOU GOD!
