Here are some photos of proposed winch mounting options
Photo 1 & 2 would use the Warn mounting plate and require some drilling as described by members in various posts
Photos 3,4 & 5 show the KFI universal winch mount.
The winch is not secured in place in these photos, just set in place as it would be if it was actually installed & secured.
The use of the KFI mounting plate-system would make life much easier for this old man, however as you will notice the KFI system restricts access to the winch and line spool. If the winch was just for show I wouldn't be concerned about this. I have a winch on one of my jeeps and use it frequently. Access to the actual winch and line spool is important to be able to make sure that the line is properly rewound as I'm winching otherwise there is the potential of winch line damage from being crimped as the winch is used.
I am open to any and all comments, suggestions, recommendations, criticisms
I do plan on contacting KFI with my concerns
Sorry for the photo quality ..... cell phone photos
