Gents,

I just recently purchased a used '07 HPX (Yanmar), and am looking to replace the current tire/wheel setup. I am looking for advice on either a good set of tires or perhaps a reasonably priced tire/wheel combo. Just wondering what online dealer would be best to deal with on this, and what tire and wheel brands are the best. Thanks!! :USA:

There is gent on Ebay that goes by "dingodog52" (Dennis) that deals in a lot of John Deere parts. He usually has wheels and tires for sale. Just this week I purchased a new wheel and tire from him so I owuld have a spare foe my 825i. Many times I have found if he doesn't have what your looking for it's worth sending him a message because he has other items not listed. He has 100% positive feedback. My wheel/tire arrived yesterday, new in the box and a huge savings over dealer cost.

I just sent Dennis a message asking if he had any setups for your HPX, if he does I will add another post here with his contact info.

Good luck.
Larry

I purchased a set for around 550.00 from small tires.com for my 2004 hpx. They are taller then stock tires and much more aggressive tread. This price included four chrome on black wheels with center caps and lugnuts. they look great!

Thanks for the post, I just installed a set from allterrainonline.com. They weren't $550 but I think I got a good deal. 824

Looks good .Did you have to use wheel spacers?

Sure didn't, I had a bit of rubbing while the wheels were turned to their left and right limits and going over bumpy terrain but I think I have solved that issue.:hdscrh: I am super happy with the Grim Reaper Tires also, smooth on hard terrain and great grip off road.

Just got a 2007 HPX diesel - needs new tires. How big can I go without having to put in a lift kit so that the tires don't rub on turns? Haven't plowed with it yet, but will do some of that this winter, I'm sure. Do you recommend chains on the tires, or just aggressive tread on the tires and a lot of weight in the bed?

Thanks in advance.

Contacted AllTerrainOnline. Their tech specialist got back to say that because the wheels on this gator are on spindles, it is not possible to go with larger rims and also that they don't make large enough tires to lift up the front end significantly. So, I guess that means that I go with a lift kit, but I'm a little concerned about the struts pulling out of the sockets with the full lift kit in place. Would appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks in advance.
