Does anyone know what platform the new RSX 850i is going to be built on ? I am thinking the 550

Deere says they are building the 850 on the 550 platform. Word has it that they were supposed to be shutting down the 550 line soon so that they can re-tool to start building the 850 as well...don't think that has happened yet...

According to my dealer, it will be built on the 550 platform with slight modifications to the structural integrity of the frame and suspension do to the added weight, thrust and torque of the engine. He did not mention if it has reached the manufacturing stage yet.

It's kinda weird that Deere would show pics of the new RSX 850i and announce it coming out soon with them being sooo far off from when it's gonna be available to the public...I've been super anxious to see one in person just to see how it looks and performs...I figured they would be in the Dealerships by now to atract new buyers for the Spring-time season of riding....
