Has anyone had starter problems with the 825i? Sometimes it sounds like the starter isn't releasing as fast as it should after the engine starts. The starter shouldn't be bad after only one hundred hours.

Is it still under warranty? If so get it into your dealer for replacement.

bucksnort, I believe Deputy has had some starter trouble, he will chime in and help you out. Also if you are still under the one year warranty you might check on the extended warr. most everyone here feels it is well worth the $250.00.

Bucksnort, welcome to the Forum and yes I did have a problem with my starter sometime back. At the time I had only 61 hours on the machine. Every once i a while the starter would not quit? Finally one day it persisted for a bit longer and I was able to locate the noise. It was without quesiton the starter solenoid. Again, it dd not happen all the time, maybe 6 or 7 times but seemed to get worse over time. When I would hear it I would shut the machine off quickly, but the noise would continue for a few minutes.
Under warranty local dealer replaced both the starter and solenoid and I have not had a single problem since.
As "missouri gator' advised you, if you don't have the extended warranty we would advise it. For only $250.00 you will be covered for two years beyond factory. That is cheap insurance.
Any questions please ask. Dealer should take care of you.
