Thank you for letting me lurk here for a while. 1st post. Could someone tell me year, model, and the part number of service manual? Have the trans out, to fix brake drag. Found a parts break down for the tuff torq trans, from cub cadet, but want to get the correct service manual.

Specracer, I welcome you to the John Deere Gator Forum. Do you have or looking to get a Gator soon?
Sorry but I don't have a clue when it comes to Cub Cadets, maybe someone on the Forum does, best of luck.

I too welcome you but I have to laugh a bit about your question...just what on this John Deere Gator Forum made you think that someone here would have the answer to your Cub Cadet question???:Cnfsd:

Oh, sorry, I have a 6x4gator with the ID number I listed. I spent a bunch of time looking for the info on the tuff torque KT35 transmission, and the only break out I could find on the web was the KT35 parts list for a cub cadet..... Which is only kind of helpful, at best. Like to get a part number for the Deere service manual if possible. Got the brake covers off and disc assemblies out and cleaned, might put back together next couple days. Sorry for the confusion....

OK, that makes more sense - the SN looked like a 6x4. Here is from my JD SN cheat sheet of similar numbers:
6X4 Gator 1996 W006X4X016591 - 0022448
6X4 Gator 1997 W006X4X0022449 - 029012
6X4 Gator 1998 W006X4X029013 - 036193
I'm guessing yours is a '97, but the number of digits is off (I suspect it's my cheat sheet).
Best of luck and glad to hear it's really a Deere! :BG:
