Just read on the Gator page that power steering is an option on 825i and 855i models.

I wish I had power steering when I'm plowing snow. Not an option on my 825i 2011 model. If I was ordering a new one I sure would get it.

I'm guessing by the way it sounds that this will not be offered as a kit to install on a 2011 model?

For the past month or more I have been working in the woods cutting down trees for firewood. We burn about 7 chord each year, this years I am working 14 chord. Being the farm is under contract the buyer have to pay me for wood! I drop the trees, cut to length, haul it all out of the woods with the 825i then split and stack it all. I think I am being very fair when charging the buyer $160.00 @ chord.
The Gator has saved me so so much work, however, "power steering" would be so GREAT! The way I am looking at it is when we arrive our new home in NC there will be NO MORE firewood so I will not need the power steering. At least until I find a new reason!

Depends on where you live at Larry. I live in the piedmont area of NC and burn wood. I have a outside wood boiler. It's a little work but it keeps the house warm as well and your domestic hot water. This is the second one I have owned. The first one lasted about 20 years; the second one is still going strong. When you move if Duke Energy is your power provider they have a program you can sign up for and get water heating for 1/2 price. I've had it for about 3 years now. To heat my domestic water runs between 9 & 10 dollars a month at that price it's not worth burning wood in the summer. Sort of off the subject;but I like my wood boiler

Deere won't offer it, but you can get one of these.
