Okay, been calling around to different jd dealers and the best quote over phone was

Green&yellow $10,650 basic 825i no extras
Camo $11,250 825i basic no extras

Tring to keep the price down all the other goodies I can add later, but Im going to upgrade the seats maybe to the sport think he said it was 250 or 275 for them and maybe a step up in rim and tire package.

So what do you all think about price wise. And is the sport seat worth the extra money or stay with the free bucket seats?

And is the 600 for the camo worth the upgrade or stay with the green

Thanks
C

C,

I have a 2011 Gator, camo with the sport seats, black alloy wheels and the upgraded tires. I paid 11,600 in 2011, minus a 800 rebate, my total cost came to $10,800.

I have since added some extras, a rear bumper, a warn xt40 winch, couple of lights. Keep in mind that there is a 10% discount on anything you order with the Gator, so if you plan on adding anything right away, you might be better ordering it with the Gator.

Hope this helped.

ps .... I like the camo and sport seats, for me it was worth it. Some people have mentioned on here that they don't like the high back sport seat because they felt it blocked their ability to reach around into the Gator Bed from the seat. Again - to each their own - for me camo was the only option.

Wish I could find some prices like that. Seems like everytime I call or talk to a sales men they give me the line "we have to eat too" Which is understandable so what's the trick in getting some of these deals let me in on the secret. For some reason I think it's location ?

Good luck!

How many times a year do they run the rebates on an average ?

they say it runs month to month but they are quite often.

The $800 dollar rebate usually happens just once a year and it only lasts for 30 days. The finance incentives do vary from month to month.

I agree, the $800.00 rebate was just in May the last 2 years.

Thanks everybody for the great info. Been trying to find a dealer to test drive the 855d and the 825i. All the local dealers here don't have any demo's:hdscrh:
I did find one dealer out in Ohio now I just have to find time.

After reading about the deals that some have made, I was hoping to find some decent discounts from local JD dealers. I’ve been to two dealers to get pricing on one of the new XUVs with power steering and $3500+ in options. The first dealer quoted about 10% below MSRP but added $650 for freight and $350 for “roll-on/roll-off” (total $1000). The second dealer quoted less than 5% below MSRP and added $500 for freight, $350 ro/ro and… $600 for “setup” (total $1450). No one on this forum has mentioned these added costs. The prices that others say they have paid seem to be deeper discounts than what I’ve been offered. Not sure what to think about this. I’m losing hope on the XUV idea and considering my alternatives.

I hear u cactys,
Sometimes I feel like I'm getting ripped off its crazy on how much the prices jump around from dealer to dealer. I have about 6 dealers with in an hour drive .one could not believe that I was interested in the 825i gave me several reasons why I should not buy it from noise, chinese engine and etc. Then gave me a number close to 12k . Then the other dealer loved the 825i and gave me a price of 11,800. After that I called a few out in Ohio and the price went to 10,650 and 11,250

Prices in my area varied a lot also. The 2012 825i camo was priced like this ( I still don't feel I got the best deal!!!)
John Deere 825i camo w/ rear protection package($438) - $14,100
BM22827 Rear Screen - $239
MB22987 Front Fender Guards - $189 (the unit already had the rear protection pkg)
BM23742 Windshield - $489
BM23764 Turn Signal kit - $160
BM23530 Camo Poly Roof - $515
State Registration - $110
Retail Bonus - $800
Tax - $1180.48
Balance - $15178.48

Will add and install winch myself. Dealer wanted $770 for a Talon 35 winch installed. As far as the machine, I have not rode it since I bought it on 12/10. This is a gift for my son from Santa (although the whole family will benefit from it lol). I have it in storage at a friends house until Santa delivers it...He stills believes at 11yo.

To me the best deal is the dealership I know will take care of my Gator after it breaks, I don't want to buy a Gator from 3 states away to save a few $$ and then get subpar service from all the local dealers because they didn't get the sale. I know it isn't supposed to happen but it does. As long as you got it for a price you felt was good then you got a good deal, a lot of posted prices seem to be really low for my area....it's the same with trucks and boats...don't worry if you didn't get the absolute lowest price you've ever seen posted...only one person does.

I bought my Gator from a small family run dealership near my place out in PA, where i use the Gator March - November, went in asked what the best they could do for me was, they offered up the best price right up front, no add ons for freight, delivery, set up or anything like that. The price was the price, plus tax. They normally charge for delivery from their shop, they delivered it to my site free of charge. I did ask for a second key and they charged me $2.00. What can I say, guess they have to make their money somewhere.

I had it in for service, and I got the feeling that they were doing me a favor working on my Gator. Some was warranty service some was pay for service.

While I had it home in NJ for the winter, I called the closest John Deere dealer, about 35 miles from my home and asked about getting the 100 hour service done so it would be ready to go when i brought it back out to camp in Pennsylvania. I got ten times better service from the large NJ Dealer, they picked it up, serviced it, ( some pay for - some warranty) installed some accessories, returned it to me and could not have been nicer. So I really think it's just the individuals at each dealership, some are more customer friendly than others, no matter where you bought your machine. I mentioned it to them about how pleased I was with the service and their response was thank you and hopefully you will be a customer in the future.

That my experience and I love my Gator, not as much as the dog but more than the current girlfriend.

My 2012 825i was one our dealer had in stock. It has power steering, power lift, front protection package, floor mats and bench seat. They charged me $13,700 including a poly roof I added on. Come to find out later, I got the urea bedliner, Maxxis Bighorn, alloys, and tail lights at no cost. None of those options were on the original invoice. I also purchased two sets of work lights and got the OPS switch bank for no charge because he told me I didn't need it, but do. The point here is the dealer knows we are a good customer. I have bought an X500 tractor and a ton of extra attachments, and will be shopping for a new compact tractor in a couple years. He wants us to come back to them for that purchase.
