Hi All. Since this gator is truly a multi use ride I decided to design an easily removable spare tire mount. Trail running requiring a spare tire, and yard/garden duty in need of an empty bed. The pre-runner style insures easy access to my spare, and I have always liked the overall look. The unit slides in easily, and is locked into a set of guide clamps with a pair of Billet threaded pins. The bottom is locked down with expansion plugs. The rails are of 1.75 DOM thin wall tubing, with a modified "Tiregate" wing lock, and urethane center chuck. All material except tubing was purchased on-line at: UB Machine Inc (clamps), J W Winco (billet knobs), The Nutty Company (stainless fasteners), and Drill Spot ( Cherne expansion plugs). Powder coating from R & B Powder Coaters of Poultney Vermont. Up next: Four point harness Lock-Down Bar, with adjustable head rests (bump pads).1317131813191320mountaingoat.

Oh yeah. Very nice work. I'm impressed with your modular design. Quick on and quick off.

Great Job.
