clean deck graphite paint

i hate scrapping my mower deck after mowing so i was wondering if anyone has used the clean deck graphite paint on their deck and if so did it help. i have heard both good and bad. was just wondering if its worth the money and did it help keep the grass from collecting on the deck. thanks for any info.

I have not tried the paint but I have tied a cord to the end of the plastic discharge chute. Pulling the chute up when in heavy or wet grass seems to help prevent it from accumulating and sticking so bad in the deck.

I saw some posts on another forum that suggest that paint isn't worth the money you pay for it so I didn't do it. I too bungee my shoot up but it still collects. Will just keep jacking the mower up after every mowing job and washing it with the water hose. Don't want to chance damaging the paint with a pressure washer and if you leave it on there too long it gets so hard it's a lot tougher to get off.

The key to that is to live out in the middle of nowhere and not have anyone around you when you're mowing.:lol:

"in the middle of nowhere" has to work very well. Any where neer Murfreesboro? My oldest went to MT there, I always enjoyed going down there.

I to live in the middle of nowhere and have learned to politely bite my tongue when people tell me to not run with scissors.

I'm a couple of hours NE of there. born and raised in east tenn. lived in middle tenn for 3 years now after retiring. Love it.
