hello there guys , thought id let ya know , i have 755 hours on my 825i ,and bout 8160 kms on it , ur supposed to change the drive belt at 800 hours but mine started squeeling at 750, so i changed it . And guess what ,im goin 76 kph top speed,,,, dont know why , but i love it ..lol my belt was worn down by 3 to 5mm ,,

46 MPH is about right for the 825. If I changed my belt every time is squealed I would go broke. Seems any little dampness makes mine squeal.

how did that make it go faster,, ? was the new belt wider than the stock one?

no I installed the same kind of belt , but my next one will be a gates belt

belts do there work on the side so if you do heavy work or just squeal them a few time they wear down the rubber resulting in not opening the clutch all the way so new belt would be stock wide and you get stock speed. I had a belt worn ones so bad I was pushing doing 40km

Why a GATES belt are they that much better? Was going to buy a spare belt to keep on hand and would sure like to buy the best.
