Don't know if its normal but during the first start in the morning the belt will squeal for a few seconds then stop. The belt on the alternator feels plenty tight, could it be the clutch belt?
Thanks

I had to tighten my alternator belt twice in the first 100 miles. It's easy and quick. Both times it felt tight, but was able to get the alternator to slide a 1/8 of an inch without trying too hard.

Yep, exactly like yours, about 2 seconds right at start-up. It's been good now ever since the last tightening.

Thanks so much even though it felt tight - I guess she's still a bit too loose.

Mine has had that same annoying squeal since it was new. I will try tightening up the alternator belt and see if that stops it. Someone on this Forum had said that you need to reverse the drive belt to stop the squeal. If tightening the alternator belt will fix this, that will be alot easier.
