Just had John Deere swing by the house to did a pip to the gator. Bet the other guys wouldn't do that. Gotta love John Deere. Guess there's some fuel line clamps that need changing. They come loose and spray fuel. With such a newly released unit I'm sure there's gonna be some growing pains. But jd will look after us well I think. Safe riding my friends.

Hmm...No word yet. :lurk:

While we are on loose lines....
I noticed these 2 lines seemed loose and need a clamp or something. Hows yours? :pondrn:

I can't really tell, but are those just some shields to protect hoses within them?

They are aluminum tubes with a rubber hose clamped on it that go to the radiator.

I was at my dealership today and the service manager told me I needed to park my RSX. There will be a PIP coming out soon on the fuel lines. He told me that sales are suspended until the problem is solved. :OhNoes:

Mine told me to hold off on signing the papers and picking mine up Monday because of the PIP and the suspension of sales. They have some kit coming in for it. I was looking forward to picking it up, now for the wait some more.

Has anyone received a stop use letter from Deere, or know for sure what the problem is. :OhNoes:

It is a problem on the fuel line connection to the injector that are not installed correctly or defective and could leak and cause a fire. There will be a product improvement coming out to cure this problem, When? hopefully yet this month.

From what I have heard, it did cause a fire on a customers machine. The letters are not pose to go out from Deere until the 15th of this month. Hopefully there will be the kit soon after that. The dealers have to install the kit on all sold RSX's and ones that are on the lot.

Wonder why they don't have the parts??? They did mine weeks ago.. And on another note. They put the oil filters on dry at the factory. So be prepared to fight with it. I took the box off. Made it a lot easier to deal with.

I'll try and post a picture. I wasn't around when the mechanic did it. I also received my letter today. I phoned the mechanic to make sure that's what he fixed. He said that he fixed the problem concerning the fuel lines. From what I understand its an up graded clamp

I work for a dealer and our PIP kits came in Monday...shouldn't be long. There were actually two "stop sales" on the 850's. There was one to just check the problem before Aug 1st and another came out Aug 1st to put the clamp on the fuel line. Growing pains...sigh,,,

My door striker broke the other day. They ordered me a new one under warranty. The fuel line pip parts aren't in yet at my dealer.

What is going on with the oil tank???

The oil tank is a two piece plastic tank that seems to be seaping from the seam. They replaced mine and replaced the one on my buddies befor he took delivery.

My dealer got both PIPs in at the same time. The fuel line and the door pin. They are installed now on all of there RSXs that are on the lot and the one I am picking up.

Does anyone know what the PIP is??? Have you actually seen it???

I was taking mine to the shop to have the fuel lines checked and it just started pouring out oil. They said it too was leaking at the seam and replaced it under warranty.
