i have a 2000 TS Gator with a 351 cc motor...how do i make it go faster

Pull the 351 and replace with a supercharge LS9 6.2L motor.

I am not familiar at all with that model but an easy way to get more speed is to install larger diameter (taller) tires if you have the clearance. Aside from that how are you at more in depth tinkering?

Do you think your Gator has enough power but needs gearing work or does it need more horses? I don't know anything other than the usual engine tricks.

Gearing is easiest done with tire size.

When getting more power out of an engine there is always a price to pay. Often it's engine life, cost and maintenance. I used to race kart and you can push a little single cylinder engine pretty hard. Sometimes the cheapest way to get more power is simply with a bigger engine so jcummins might not be too far off though don't steal the engine out of my truck (I just put a new injection pump on it). But seriously you can push an engine about as hard as you want to and your wallet can support.

I don't know anything about your Gator. Is there a governor? Disabling or modifying it can easily give you more rpm's, power and speed but at the rpm's increase so do your chances of snapping the connecting rod or something else.

You could advance the timing a degree or two and run it on high test. Or, push it further and run it on 100LL avgas or higher racing fuels. Then there is methanol. It does smell nice.

Try drilling out or re-jetting your carb. or even bolting on a larger one.

You can play around with different exhausts. I doubt you'll get lucky enough to find after market performance exhausts but you might be able to adapt something from kart racing.

You can port and polish the valves.

Shave the head to increase compression.

Bore out the cylinder and install an oversized piston.
