Good evening!!

I am looking for some seat covers for my bench seat on the 825i gator. Does anyone make them? I was thinking some company was supposed to come out with a seat cover.

Any Ideas?

thank,

Nate

I've just bought a 855D and I would also like bench seat covers.

Same here....I'd prefer something like carhartt material. I have a black seat, and the vinyl on it is not going to hold up to how I use this 855D.

I was at the dealer picking up my cover. Both the parts guys made a comment saying that it was a wise investment. They said that the first thing to go on a Gator is the seats. They can get torn up by dogs climbing over them, horses and cattle chewing on them and everything else.

The vinyl on the seats is quite soft. I like the idea of the Carhart covers. Maybe here is a business opportunity for someone with a sewing machine. If that entrepreneur is out there, PM me with a price.

I was never able to find covers for my 550 so I broke down and bought some material and sewed up my own covers. It was surprisingly easy but not of full store bought stitching quality.

Try a boat canvas business. They'll be into the slow season soon.

I may have found someone locally to recover this bench seat. I wanted to take the back part off and have it redone too, but.....it appears this is sewed together after it was put onto the back frame. There is a piece of angled plastic that brings the top and bottom together, and from what I can tell both are sewed to that plastic piece.

Does anyone know how that back comes off?

On edit:....I'm looking for replacement covers to be sewed up not just a cover, and think this person can do that.

I got mine at Wal-Mart online. Go to the search on there site and look up UTV, they have them for around $35.00. I got one for my 825i and it has held up great. I had it for a year now with no problem at all. look around they have different size's.

I have the camo 2012 825i. What camo pattern is used? Is it Realtree Hardwood or Mossy Oak New Break Up HD? I'm looking to get some seat covers made. Secondly, is the seat dimension IDENTICAL to the 2011 model?

http://www.camotruckseats.com <--- this company said they did some for a 2011and the cost was $120 but didn't have a pattern for the headrest.

According to the John Deere website the 825 camo is Realtree Hardwoods HD.

I found a person local that does motorcycle seats and things of that nature. I plan after the first of the year to take my entire seat to her, and have covers made as much like factory using camo ripstop material. I understand she does very good work.....we'll see.

The camo on the Gator does not match the camo of the soft top that John Deere sells. so if you have the soft top you have your choice of which camo to use, match the gator or the soft top.

I was very disappointed that they don't match.

A guy I work with has a son with an auto upholstery shop. When he gets back from vacation I'm going to ask if he can make Carhartt seat covers. If he can, I will get him to sew on a John Deere shoulder patch in the middle of the seat back.

It'll be a few weeks into January at the earliest. I'll keep everyone posted and be watching this thread in the meantime. Maybe someone will come up with something better before I get to the Carhartt effort.
