On both my brothers and my machine, the bracket fixed with two screws to the intake manifold, holding the gas cable, came lose. On his the screws were still there, but on mine the bracket only hung on the cable and one of the screws were missing. It didn?t cause the machines to run bad or anything, so it was just discovered by coincidence. Here?s shot of the bracket (the black headed screw is a replacement for the one I lost) - check it out guys.

Yep, the same thing happened to me. Both bolts where gone and it happened while I was traveling at 45 mph. I thought I ran out of gas. I had less than 2 hours on the gator.

Are we talking 2011's or 2012's or both? Will be checking mine either way. Thanks for the info.

The same thing happened to me this past summer, I was out, way out, on trail and lost speed, would only go about 5 mph. I used plastic zip ties to hold the bracket in place until it could be repaired. I sent JD a photo so they could see exactly what the problem was, they sent a repair guy out with the right screws and repaired and repaired it at my camp site. Also discovered one of the screws holding the spark plug wire assembly. Mine is a 2011, the miles and hours are in the pictures.

Great informational post!

I'll be cinching down those screws and if I find them loose, I'll pull them out and put some blue loctite on them.

Yeah, that is no place for a cross point screw. Should have been a hex head and maybe some blue loctite if it vibrates much in that area.

I would of assumed they were counter sunk allen heads, but I never got to see mine cause there in a ditch somewhere. :Bnghd: I replaced mine with Skidoo hex heads bolts and blue loctite. Now I have skidator

It definately appears as though Deere has a "screw loose".
I will have to check mine as well.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Mine has 9.1 hours on it. I checked them today and they felt tight but I'm taking them out and putting loctite on them.
Thanks for the heads up.

This happened to me this weekend while going up a rocky hill above the Deer Camp. I should have checked it after first reading this post, but as many times - oops I forgot! Luckily I had a couple bolts in my toolbox that allowed me to temp repair so I could back down to the Camp then go get the correct size bolts and some loctite to fix it correctly.

Everybody who reads this thread should check this bracket before one of us gets caught in a bad situation. Don't put it on the list to be forgotten like I did!!

I never responded with the results of my checking of the screws. Mine were plenty tight.

Just thought I would post the results, so that everyone would know that the tightened those screws on at least ONE 825i before it was delivered to the customer. Maybe the service guys knew to check and tighten, or the factory screwed up and actually tightened the ones on mine.
