Took it for a test run last night. It went handled pretty well. I have a few minor refinements to make but it works.

Edit: Just hauled about 30 miles and worked well. Added a couple pics of the set up.

I believe if I was you, I'd consider taking out that tool box in the front of the bed and enable that Gator to go in another 2 or 3 feet...it might drive OK now, but what about if it's raining and you don't have enough downforce on the steering axle of your pick-up???...I'd just hate to see something bad happen to you with that...
Also, and knowing this from experience here in MD, I would be worried that a DOT Cop would stop you and give you grief for the way it's loaded in your truck...even though its not a commercial vehicle, they will stop people with pick-ups pulling trailers and such all the time...I own and operate a Trucking Company here on the Eastern Shore, so what I am saying here is from 35 years of experience in driving here and dealing with the DOT Cops...
Not trying to disrespect you or anything like that at all...just trying to look out for you and make sure that you are sure of what you are doing here, with different viewpoints to consider...
The best to you, my friend...

Great picture! Too bad I have a narrow bed pickup.

The rear axle is wider than the front and will not fit inside the bed. I am familiar with MDOTs ways, I own and transport our equipment which is up to 70,000# and 12' wide. Almost 30 years of heavy haul experience. Not being smart, just giving a little of my background. I have small trailers to haul the gator on, but one location has minimal parking area and this set up will make that a breeze.
Properly secured and driven with respect to the road conditions it will be comfortable. I'll post some more detailed pics when I load it up again in a few days.
