Just called my local dealer. He said he wouldnt be getting in 13's until late Feb and was going to a show in Orlando next month and would look into the new cvt intake. He said some other changes with the 13's will deal with the emission for engines under 100hp.

The P/N is available for the canister just not the tube. I am hoping someone with a dealer close by can figure out what we need to get for the tube part.

On the parts diagram, # 25 shows in the cart as Duct Assembly which includes the tube as Part # AM144147. The price in Canada is $35.21 which is more than for our Southern neighbours.

Yeah, when you try to buy AM144147 it says no longer available though. I have sent a JD parts supplier a request for a replacement P/N.

Yeah, I had the wrong p/n. This the response I got back on the canister and the duct.
The AM144148 is available, our price is $21.66. Unfortunately the AM144008 is out of production and not something that we can provide. John Deere is not offering a replacement number.

purplewg,
I have the same problem on this site only, (typing faster) and then my machine will just freeze up. My PC at work does not give me that grief.... weird.
I'm wondering if AM144008 is not available, that the new setup will be "the" replacement for it. I like the cannister idea a lot, provided we do not have to make a bunch of alterations and $$$ to do it aside from the cost of the cannister and new tube.

apple and purplewg,
I see the old clutch housing and the new are the same part #s, so the new tube should fit.
From my understanding of the parts diagram on post # 11 you would need as purplewg mentioned AM144147 and AM144148, but would you not need as well?;
M167151 - Air intake support = $17.23 Canadian
M88183 - Locking Ring = $3.80 Canadian
M167961- Grommet = $1.23 Canadian
Sorry for posting in canadian $$s, but the good news is that it will be cheaper for you.

Sorry Guys, I should have been more specific on my explanation of parts,
according to the parts illustration on post # 11
# 25 = JD AM144147 (Cannister Assembly which includes #18, #20, #22, and #23)
# 19 = JD AM144148 (Cannister)
# 5 = JD M88183 (Locking Ring)
#9 = JD M167961 (Grommet)
# 21 = JD M167151 (Air Intake Support)
We might get this right yet and I stand to be corrected.

I must be looking at a different picture.
#5 is a clamp
#9 is an isolator
#21 is a plug.
I could not find-
#17, 22, 20 which are listed as Hose Support, Ring, Grommet so I will just make my own. The canister and duct is what I mainly need.

Where does the intake come out at? In other words where do you have to be concerned to not let water in?

From the way it looks it comes up next to the seatbelt retractor on the drivers side of the cab. Refer back to the very first thread to see the picture

Also be aware of the belt vent. Lift the bed and look at the back of the belt housing for the vent. This is another area you would not want to get under water.

With the new conversion the two vent openings should be a pretty much the same height from ground or mud hole right now the front is much lower

Correct. Now the front is lower and facing forward.:Cnfsd: That just don't make sense to me. Then again when Deere delivered my loader hay forks they had put the spears in facing the tractor.

Ok guys I took 5 minutes out of my busy schedule and stuff the new CVT duct system on. Well, it is stuck there but not permanently attached yet. Took about 5 minutes to remove the old and install these new parts. Seems to me I saw an installation drawing showing the upper mounting bolt going through the frame to attach to this new canister. Well on my 2011 there is no hole even close to matching up. What I plan to do is make a similar clamp like was on the one I took off out of some 1/4 rod. It will have to be bent differently but I think I can re-use the hole I unbolted the old support from. The hose support bracket shown in the illustrated JD parts might not go through the frame and may get fastened to a nearby bolt. I am not sure about that as I did not order it.
I am a little disappointed on how the canister connects to the duct. One big leak there. If you happen to stop in water it will just flow right in around where the canister goes over the duct tube. The duct tube does go up in the canister a couple inches but that is about it. My plan is to use rubberized water proof tape and wrap this joint up.
Now for the pics.

IF you don't mind your CVT inlet facing forward, being low, and sucking up water then I wouldn't mess with it. I just don't like a low forward facing inlet.

Well, I made the clamp to hold the canister in place this weekend. I also taped up the canister/duct joint with water proof tape. If you should stop in water that joint is not sealed well at all.

First time poster here wondering about the new intake too.
I had a chance to see a new 2013 machine and it looks like the new support for the intake mounts on the front exhaust shield bolt above the exhaust on the 825.
Roger said the exhaust shield is shorter where the canister sits, when he threw a tape on it it looks the same just an inch shorter in the front which makes sense to give room for the new shape. If I do order the parts I'll probably just cut my old shield an inch shorter.
He also showed me how the canister snaps over the ridges on the new tube. The top ridge is for the 825/855 the bottom ridge is lower for the 625.

Boys, I know this is an old thread, but I'll check in. The featured intake separator is std. on my 2014 825i. It is secured by a notch at one end and a rubber grommet at the other that pops onto a stud protruding from the mount, and a snap-ring goes in the cross-drilled hole to keep the thing on the stud. Only takes a screwdriver for the hose clamp to remove it for cleanout. I drove into deep fallen leaves recently and experienced a weird noise, which turned out to be leaves blocking the intake screen at the top of the separator chamber. The intake is positioned facing inboard in a sheltered spot but it is not fool proof, only highly fool resistant. IMHO for heavy dust and even some mud it looks like a good setup.
