been thinking about buying a poly cab for my 825 and started looking around for heaters. everything ive found looks big and bulky or if i go the deere route will cost me over a grand and i lose my glovebox. what has everyone else done or have seen done to these machines? kinda hard with the little room the cab provides to find something that will work. machine will be used in -10to-15c. any ideas and pictures of instals are welcome. thanks

There is one on UTV Parts & Accessories .com, then Click On John Deere. They have one especially for an 825.
I do not have it yet as I have to get doors on my deluxe cab first. You do not lose your glove box and a lot less than Mother Deere. You do lose your cup holders it says.
Good Luck,
Jake

Gearup2go has the Curtis Industries heater, which looks to be the least obtrusive and has a defroster.

Must be this: http://www.gearup2go.com/utv/20-000-btu-heating-system-for-john-deere-gator-by-curtis-9ph20s30.html

A google search didnt bring much information about it. Anyone have this system attached?

Sure looks like a compact out of the way unit but not sure where it fits. It's really hard to tell from those pictures . I would love to hear from someone that as one or as seen one installed in a gator

I haven't been able to find much info about the Curtis heater either, but I did just come across this:

http://cdn.dreamingcode.com/public/72/documents/Version-20120828070300-Gator_XUV_Cab_System_-HPX_Cab_System-72-1801-1.pdf

Unfortunately, like the JD heater it takes up the glove box.

seems every heater you look up either does away with cup holders or glove box. that curtis heater looks like it mounts under front hood between glove box and cross member. wish someone on the site had one that could take pictures to show just where and how it is mounted. that some pretty fancy screen work you did on the mount in your machine gator fabricator. looks good but dont like the idea of no cup holders.

Check the heater Prosum has. I've been thinking about this unit. Anyone on here have one installed? if so what are your thoughts on it? That would be Prosum Equipment LLC

I have the prossum equipment heater ive been happy with it but the only other one I have to compare it to the a little electric one, kit came with all the parts bolted in easy just need to get around to adding a defrost vent to it and I didnt loose complete use of the beer holders

osiris. was just wondering if you would happen to have any picturs of installed prossumheater? just trying to get an idea of how much room it will take up. does it affect you or your passengers leg room?? i will be wearing winter boots and would hate to lose that much room. thanks

i like your way much better! "beer holders" not cup holders

I would like to get some more info on the heater from Curtis Ind. Things like where do they mount, details in regards to defrost. This looks like a slick unit but I need more info before I pull the trigger. If anyone has one please share with everyone on the forum
