recently traded my 825i for a trail model 850i and just love it so far. went mudding for the first time yesterday and was very pleased on how it did.

only problem i've experienced is the adjustable seats. seems if you slide one to a different position it takes an act of congress to get the latch to release to move it again. i told my dealer about it and they are going to try to adjust them when i take it back in next week to have my glass windshield with wiper installed. :-)

anyone else experience this problem?

Yep... noticed the one on the Deere Corporate showroom floor had same problem. It seemed to work best when there was no weight on the seat.. but really how often will you adjust?

I also noticed the passenger seat did not flip up like the driver seat... wondering if they are all this way?

the passenger seat does flip up you have to slide the seat all the way back first i had to figure it out.

the passenger seat does as gilles55 said flip up. it latches in place so you have to tug on it a little harder. i haven't noticed that mine has to be all the way back.

i know the seats won't be adjusted much but occasionally when they are who wants to spend forever trying to get them back in place. PLUS, if you spend 15k on something you want it to work like it's suppose to.

i have to say i have been working with mine and kind of figured out the best way to adjust them...but only if you're outside the machine looking in.

i was washing mine off with the water hose after going mudding the other day and one of the camo decals on the tailgate came almost all the way off. there again, if you pay for it you want it to be right. will give them the option of fixing it or ordering a new one but if they fix it they best remember if it comes off again a new one will be ordered.

all that whining aside, I LOVE MY RSI 850I. :Ysnd:

Maybe they fixed it on Serial No 2 :) We were tugging on that seat pretty hard in all positions, but it just would not flip up. Even the concierge on the display floor came over... I think she was wondering why we were disassembling the RSX? Hey.. we only had the airbox off, the hood open, and the rear box unclipped... She laughed and said it happens frequently... a farmer took the whole side of the combine off... but did not put it back on.. they were trying to figure it out when I was there. hahahaha

My passenger seat took some umph to get it to flip up but did no problem. It latches pretty secure which is a good thing.

The best method is to give it a "quick, forceful" push near the hole in the top of the seat. Think of it more as a snapping type clip instead of one with a big chamfer or lead-in on it. As they get used a few times, they get easier. The one on display in Moline probably had clsoe to Zero hours on it so may never have been flipped.
