I believe that the reliability will be allot better than any other SXS,,John Deere doesn't build any junk..All john Deere stuff is high quality. I sure like mine.

have only had mine for a week but i love it. traded my 825i in on it. seems to me it's a little louder than my 825i was, but the boss/wife doesn't think so. as far as reliability, they've only been out a few months but the way i figure it JD's name is on it so i figure they will back it. since they are new i wanted to buy the extended warranty but it was about $350 a year where as on my 825i i paid $250 for TWO years. anyway, i think i will not regret my trade.

i am looking at the new ranger also with the motor at the back for the noise issue but seems you cant pull a load in reverse without breaking the front diff so reliability is definetely why i sold the prowler
thanks for the input bud

As far as reliability, it's going to be hard to say since the RSX is new , but I'm sure it will be great as have been all my JDs. My son has a new 900 ranger with a 3" lift and bigger tires that will go many places my RSX won't on the river but I leave him in my dust in the sand where I do most of my riding.

the rsx is realy a cool looking sxs i might find a dealer and test ride one how would you describe the difference for the noise in the cab compare to the ranger

I don't think it is much louder than the rhino I used to have. I am not a polaris fan myself. I have owned a couple and was not impressed. Of course this was 6 years ago but left a sour taste in my mouth for their equipment. Im sure they have improved leaps and bounds....I hope. Jd caught my attention with the 825 and I loved it. I think it outperformed the ranger in every way. The rsx fills the sport\utility sxs category for a lot of users. Including me. I like the best of both worlds and am very pleased with the rsx thus far. 200mi and counting

I have great fun with my 825i, but I also have a list of things on it, that is made by complete amateurs:Bnghd::Bnghd: Several threads here, will proof my statement. And get in touch with ANY competent tech persons from that company, is hopeless. Sorry for kicking you down from your high horse.......:Blsh: Rant over.

There are always speedbumps in new products. At least JD is standing by their product and the customer service I have experienced thus far has been great.

i know the ``sour taste``feeling believe me with the prowlers we where 5 buddies who bought them at the same time to discover that out of 5 only one was reliable and they do not stantd by the product they produce i am hesitating going polaris cause i am mainly looking for a hunting ,working and riding machine so choice is pretty hard to do:OhNoes:

My RSX had the oil problem that is referenced in the other thread. Machine blew oil on Sunday, Deere picked it up before noon on Monday, repaired it, and delivered it back to my house before 5 p.m. today. Good luck getting that type of warranty service out of Polaris. The RSX has had a few problems, but that's what you get with any new model.

Additionally, have over 1000 miles on machine since October.

All the oil problem was that JD didn't trust the oil filter that was put on from factory..JD put a new one on mine and changed the oil and washed it for me..I'm a JD fan now..I used to have a rzr but my JD rsx850i is way better quality than Polaris...I can even out run a rzr up to 53 mph.

there's a lemon in every bunch i'm sure. i had a scag mower for six years and loved it and never had a problem. traded it in for a new bigger scag and to say the least it was a lemon. after taking it back several times over a few months i insisted on a new replacement and scag did it.

i believe JD customer service is even better. but i haven't tried the phone route. only through my dealer.

after taking mine out a couple of times in the mud and snow this week i am so pleased with it. i hope it last me a life time.
