I vented on the RSX headlights a few months ago. Lack of adjustment, not bright enough. They stock lights were a real problem riding at higher speed up and down hills on wooded trails. Also thought they were insufficient for higher speed on the road. Solved the problem by putting a light bar on the roof. Also ordered some HID bulb replacements but have not installed them yet. Going to try to put them in this weekend.

Definitely go with some ROPS or roof mounted lights and if you can get past the initial price, quality LED's are the way to go. For me much of the problem is that I'm driving through brush and grass that is 3' high. Getting the lights up higher really helped and some nights I even turn off the headlights to prevent lighting up the grass right in front of me so bad.

Installed my HID bulbs yesterday. Tremendous improvement!! I mounted the Ballasts inside the front storage compartment. If they hold up, going to be money well spent.

Ive had my hid`s in my truck and 825i for over a year and at 30$ a set theyre a very wise purchase just use a little dialetric grease on the connections to prevent corossion=burnt ballist

Here is the link to the company http://www.hdbright.com/. Looks like you can spend anywhere from $60 to $200 on the various packages through other sites like Eagle Eye and Vision X. Just took a chance and went middle of the road. The bulbs and ballasts and the wiring was $130 I believe.

Kolpin makes an HID conversion kit for the 825i, and I imagine they have one for the 850i also. It cost about $90.

The kit was pretty much plug and play. However, I did have to upgrade my headlight fuse to 20 amp instead of the stock 15 amp.

I had the same problem with my fuse. That circuit is connects to a ton of stuff. You would think that Deere would dedicate a circuit for the headlamps.

Just put a light bar on it, 20 inchs and draws 9 amps, there is a circuit under the dash that is fused with 40 amp for acces, r/h fuse block. This bar came from http://www.light-headed.net/ Kenny is a buddy and started out in the airboat lite but had expamded to light bars.

I am jealous of that 20" light bar. You can never have too much.

Rigid 30"makes the toughest Led Light Bars out there. Watch there video,
$500 outstanding clear spot and flood on the sides all in one.
Easy hook up, it has its own lighted switch and draws next to nothing.
Doing night rally racing it is a must have.2165

Here we are July 28, 2014, Is this still the best solution at "hdbright.com if so I think I will get me the 130 upgrade. I am currently having trouble with my headlights, they will not turn on, so I think this is the best time to address the entire problem. Any other suggestions out there I would like to hear about them. Thanks

Can you tell me if this comes with a new headlight housing or is it just the bulb? My headlight housing broke along with the bulb. Thanks
