With deer season over and my chores caught up on I made a few modifications to the Gator. I added a gun rack from Big Sky Racks, inside the cab. I also changed out the CVT intake with the newer style. Here are a couple pics.

That new intake should help if you ever take your Gator to the swamp for some Texas hog.

For the CVT intake did you just have to order a kit or individual parts and pieces if so what are the part numbers you ended up ordering? Did you order online or from your dealer? Thanks for all your help

You can order all the parts online except for the new hose. Since I had to go to the dealer to order the new hose, I just had the dealer order everything. The parts numbers are; (5) M88183 - Ring, (9) M167961 - Grommet, (18) AM144008 - Air Duct, (19) AM144148 - Tube, (20) M167150 - Hose, (21) M167151 - Hose Support, (22) R105388 - Tie Band, (23) M167523 - Valve.

Now if you do not have a 2013 this new assembly will not totally fit as a intended. That is why I have the small sheetmetal screws holding the "tube" to the "hose". The reason this does not fit totally correctly is because the newer bikes have the exhaust routed differently that the older bikes.

Hope this helps,

I put it on my 2011. I rubber taped the joint between the duct and the tube. Real sloppy fit there. If you stop in water it will rush in.

Craig, now we just need to figure out how to raise air inlet for the motor. I have an idea but haven't had the time to pursue it yet.

I hear ya purplewg. That would be good except I heard that the alternator isn't sealed. Guess these gators were not meant for the deep deep puddles....
