Many thanks to Johnehowe for his post of May 5, 2012, regarding how to remove the clutch from a 4x2. I have the clutch removed and need to disassemble it to make and replace the cam rollers. Mine are worn with a flat on each, thus preventing proper actuation. I was almost "stuck" coming up a steep grade on my lake access road. Does anyone know how to remove the 3 arm "spider" to which the rollers are affixed?
John Deere does not offer the rollers for sale, only the entire clutch assembly which costs $400. Anyone have any other solutions?
Thanks in advance.
