Why did Deere have to replace the shifter? I do wish they had an indicator light for it.

Thanks, We got our RSX in October. I've been on here since then. I just took the RSX to my dealer for the recall on the parking brake and they said they also had to replace the gear shifter. I ask them why they were replacing it and they didn't seem to know. just knew they had to replace it.

They had a recall because the material in the handle was hardened to much and prone to breaking.:Ysnd:

Thanks guys I was wondering why. I've been pleased with the john deere service so far. Our dealer is the closest buisness to our house, about 18 miles away. that was one of the things i thought about when buying a SxS. The closest polaris dealer is 50 miles and can-am is 100. Happy with the gator other than i think it needs power steering.
