trouble turning off gator

Hi this is my first post ever on here. I am not sure what year my gator is i think it is a 1999. Not sure. When I got to turn it off it stays on and i have to choke it to kill it. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I don't know which model you have but I'm guessing it's a loose or broken wire. I would start by look around behind the ignition switch and follow the wires looking for one broken or unhooked.
