Kill Switch

I am getting ready for hunting season out here in CA. I am planning on taking my Gator out to the middle of no where and I want to put a kill switch somewhere on it. I was thinking of either just a rocker switch unlabled on the dash (or a round rocker where the horn button normally goes) or hiding a toggle switch somewhere that I can use as a kill switch. Any suggestions? And, if anybody has done this, can you give me detailed instructions on which ignition wires to use?

How about a regular battery disconnect switch?

Thanks. Have you used this on your machine? Where do you install it? My batter compartment is pretty crowded already after installing a winch.
