Hi All. Well it's been awhile since I made up anything for the "Ridge Runner" so a set of Lens Guards were in order. Anyone running those very expensive Hella Driving lights will appreciate knowing that Hella does not sell replacement lens's. These puppies run about $100 each on line, and $150 each if you order them through J D. Now I just flip on the switch, and don't have to remember to stop and, remove the plastic covers! The grills are actually 6" backing racks purchased on sale at Amazon for $3.99 each. 1/4" steel rod, some t-rod connectors, and a few on-hand scraps round out the parts. By using the rod connectors I was able to pick up the existing holes on the brush guard. Another J D cloisonné key ring was used for a badge. Off to the powder coaters, and done! The project was finished at a cost of about $60 including coating. Money well spent to protect $500 to $600 worth of lights! Up next, a fire extinguisher bracket, and also a utility light mount. mountaingoat.

I'm glad to see you still working on the Gator. You've not posted as many upgrades this summer as you did last year.

Hey Dane. Spent some time building things to work with my 550. Soon as I finished the water trailer it rained for 3 weeks! Go figure!2575

That's too funny thinking on the same track. I made a frame that goes into a generic trailer with a 35 gallon barrel and a Honda WX-10 pump. I think I've used it twice early this summer and since it's rained almost every day. Normally I can't get water to my garden fast enough and this years I have trouble with fungus and mold.
