My 825 has quite a bit of heat coming from the radiator. Has anyone tried using that heat to heat the cab? Maybe a trap door that could be opened or closed, easily. It's 26 degrees here in the NC mountains this morning.

Found this thread after I posted. Has some good ideas.

Just keep running it. You will not need a trap door when the temps hit 16! Enjoy the heat. Any trails up around Asheville, NC? My son is moving there and I will need to visit????
Thanks,
Rich :cool::FX:

Rich, I guess I'll try this winter out and see how it does before making mod's. We're about 2 hrs east of Asheville, I don't know of any trails over there. I think there are some over towards Charlotte that you may want to check out.

Terry, seems like your home town is in the national forest. Are there any legal riding areas around? I see Cherokee is about half way between Asheville, NC and you. I can drop my wife off for gambling and do some riding in that area. I have been to http://www.durhamtown.com/ several times, but looking for another place. My kids and grandkids visit infrequently and am looking for new mountains to conquer! I wish I had your power steering.

Carolina Adventure World is about a 45 minutes south of Charlotte in SC and has some great trails

Rich, Well, your right, I live in the middle of the national forest. My little homestead is backed up to a national forest. As far as I know there isn't any trails open to ATV's. We do have walking trails and the AT is only a couple miles away. I checked http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/ and they list a couple places in Blairsville,Ga that may be worth checking out. The Cherokee are building a new casino by Murphy and Blairsville is only about 25 miles south.

Joseph, I checked out Carolina Adventure's wed site http://www.carolinaadventureworld.net/
that looks like a great place to ride. I may have to go buy a couple helmets lol. I haven't owned a helmet since I quit motocrossing many years ago. I only use my gator to get around on homestead here in the Smokies.
