2005 TX has been throwing the drive belt whenever you put it into drive and give it some gas, but at idle it is fine. I put a new belt on it and it does the same thing. What I noticed is that the outside secondary (transaxle) clutch plate is loose. It will rotate off-center as if the center bolt is starting to loosen up, or an alignment pin is broken. I've never messed with clutches before so I have no familiarity with them, so what is the issue? Does the whole secondary clutch need replaced, and is it a DIY project?
First, I would make sure you have the correct belt.
Secondary/driven clutches are pretty easy to work on. I don't have a TX but generally the outer plate should be fixed and not loose. I would get that worked out as slopping back and forth could wallow it out making things worse.
If you're looking at the driven clutch make sure you have plastic buttons/shoes where the two ramps meet. Also make sure that the transmission end of the spring is not pushing against and rubbing in on the transmission case
