825i guy may pull the trigger on a new RSX?????????

I've had 2 pretty well decked out 825is. I had one right after the release in 2010-great machines! I sold my camo 2012 in my sig and now i'm sxs less. I was looking for a good deal on a used 825i or 855d. Called the dealer and he said he would sell me a new camo trail for 13k. JD has a 1k rebate (included in the 13k) and I can get 0 for 36 too. I've been a personal friend of the manager for years so I assume hes hooking me up. I hauled quite a bit in the big 825i bed and I would like to have both. I like the sportiness of the rsx but love the utility of the 825i. Now comes the questions. Is the RSX capable of utility/work? What has broke or weak points/problems with them? I like hauling wood and low speed deer spotting and such. I won't be flying around all the time. My wife uses it for flowers and crap like that. I need the swiss army knife of sxs's which everybody will probably say 825i but that seems too good of a deal to pass up. Opinions? I do like to rip around too!

I have a 2013 825i s4. I ride trails that are not set up for sxs and ride it pretty hard so far no major problems. Love the full box and the power that it has.

They do have a bunch of power. An s4 is not what I need for sure-too long. Wife wants an s4 but there is only 3 of us in our household and not all 3 riding the Gator at once.

And I just found out you get the 2 year JDESP warranty too. 0 for 36, 2 year extended warranty and a 1K rebate.......Sounds like a new camo trail may be coming.

What year model is he quoting you and I wonder if the rebate and warranty only apply to certain color and model...

Didn't matter and I can order one. The camo one they have has silver wheels and I want black. 2014 is the year. Its right on JDs site. Camo trail with all that for 13k seems like a steal. The warrany, rebate and maybe o% only apply to RSXs.

Don't think the wife would like the rsx for working in the flowers. The takeoff is not as smooth as the 825i. I miss that about my 825i but like the rsx for the trails. I traded cuz the 825i was just too big for the trails I ride. Heck, sometimes the rsx is too big but I make do. :-)

I compared other dealers and they are telling me they are losing money selling a camo trail with the 2 yr warranty, 0% for 36 mo. for 13K. That came from the dealer I bought my first 825i from years ago which was the cheapest dealer.

I just got back from taking two "nitro glycerine" pills for a heart attack. I re -- read your post and I might take two more pills for your statement: "they are telling me they are losing money selling a camo" ! I cannot believe any John Deere dealer ever lost money on the sale of a GATOR!

Oh sorry what I meant was I called 2 other dealers trying to get it cheaper than the first dealers 13k with all the stuff. They informed me the first (13k) dealer would be losing money on it because they have to eat the 799 jdesp warranty.
