Kawasaki and Deere make a lot of Mule and Gator models. It would be nice if you started out by saying you were talking about the Mule models with the 812cc three cylinder gas engine like used in the Gator 825.

Yea, I figured out what you're talking about but if you want to talk about something just say what it is well enough so people know. Don't make everyone Google just to find out what you're talking about. Heck, the second hit when using the search you recommend leads you right back to this thread.

The engine has been pretty good in the Gator and judging at how closely the 625 and 825 are priced I'd say the cost of the engine is very attractive. I'm most curious to know what was going on behind the scenes. Did Deere have Cheri contractually locked down for a number of years preventing them from supplying other manufacturers or did Kawasaki just figure out that it's a great engine for the money?
