no spark

I have an older 6 X 4 I think it is an 1986, but not sure. It has always ran pretty good, but just quit the other day. I assumed it was a gas problem, but seems to be getting plenty of gas. I see now it is getting no spark. I changed the spark igniter and the coils and still no spark. Any suggestions?

I don't know what engine you have but by the age I assume it's carbureted (not high tech and fuel injected). With the new ignitor and coils I would make sure the kill part of the wiring is OK. Maybe you've got a bad ignition switch or a short in the wiring that is grounding the coils.

I had the age wrong it turns out that it is a 1995, but yes it is does have a carburetor. I finally found a ground wire that had pulled out of a plug. that plug led to the spark igniter. thanks so much for responding to my post.
