gator ts starter

Hey I have a 2004 gator ts that goes through starters every 100 - 200 hours. It breaks the that surrounds the starter gear. Does anyone have an idea of what this might be?

Welcome to the forum! I wish I could help you. I replaced the starter on my TS at about 1300 hours. Hopefully somebody will be along to give you some ideas.
