I have a 1995 6 X 4 GATOR. After finally getting it running again (ground wire pulled out of plug) now I am having an over heating problem. The over heat light comes on but the fan has not come on. I replaced the fan, and the thermostat located in the radiator, and now the fan has kicked on a couple of times, but still getting the over heat light with the fan not starting. I was wondering if anyone knows is there a second thermostat that turns the over heat light on, or is it controlled by the thermostat on the radiator? If there is a second, where is it located? My other questions are: the radiator thermostat has two wires coming out of it, one goes to the fan the other goes back toward the engine. I lose the second in the wiring harness. Is this a ground wire? What actually tells the fan to come on? Is there a way to have the fan just stay on when the engine is running. Thanks for any help you can give.

Old thread but I wired my fan to a wire that is hot when the switch is on, stays on all the time when the engine is running, mine had the same issues as yours
