New to forum. Signing up was sure an experience.
My Gator doesn't want to move in reverse until about 1600rpm. Idle is just over 1000. Forward doesn't seem to be too bad. It's a lot smoother. Can't speed up the idle or the gears grind. Is there some kind of adjustment for this ?
When shifted into reverse it is hard to get a smooth start. Wants to jerk start. My only complaint with the Gator so far.
Also have had trouble starting. Just discovered if I wait for the key on noise to change it starts right up. Sounds like a fuel pump coming up to pressure.
John Deere dealer is 3 mile away. Country roads. Had a antifreeze leak so they came and picked it up and brought it back. Told them to change the oil while they had it. That oil change cost me $100. I learned from that.
Hope someone has an answer on the reverse clutch question.
