I have an '04 gas hpx that has run fairly well for 8 years. Carb was rebuilt a few years ago. It had cranked and started up just fine up until last week. Went out to the barn to clean up and it cranked but wouldn't start. I have run through all the easy stuff: all fuses good or replaced, new fuel filter, new battery, fuel pump works well, new spark plugs... Still cranks but won't fire up. Took the plugs out one at a time and cranked it over, did not see a spark from either of the new plugs. Am I dealing with two bad coils? A bad voltage regulator? A relay somewhere? How would I test/isolate these issues? I am fine with spending the money to replace these if that what's wrong, just don't feel like throwing hundreds of $$ on parts that may not need to be replaced.
