Does anyone have any comments or experiences reference plowing snow with a 2007 Gator HPX 4x4? Looking at purchasing one for keeping longer drive/lane clear of snow. Appreciate any and all comments. Thnx

Seems like it should do it. I don't know for sure though. :Chers:

I have a 2007 HPX 4x4 with the PowerTach plow from JD. It does great even with 18" of heavy wet snow. A couple of things to consider 1. Get the heavy duty shocks/springs recommended - you will be sorry if you don't and it actually made the ride better without the plow attached. 2. If you are plowing at night with the lights on and/or frequently raising and lowering the blade you battery will die unless you get the HD Alternator. 3. Put several heavy items - 80 Pound sand bags - in the bed over the rear wheels to assist in traction.

:OhNoes: I have the powertech HD Snowplow with the hard side curtis cab and plow over 1900' x 20' roadway down and up. this year we only had one wet snow 6-8" and it plowed great on the light snow we had 10-12 inches in 6 hrs and it plowed great (the only thing i did was to put a snow deflector on top of the plow.

We've got a 08 XUV which is almost identical except for the rear suspension set up with the john deere V-plow and its a pushing machine!!! Ive plowed almost 8" at one time and thats about as much as I could push at once (tires slipping on the gravel). I love my gator with the plow, cant see how I managed in Montana without one....
