RSX 850 oil leak scare

So after owning my RSX 850 for over 36 hrs I finally get to ride it this evening. I love it!!! Smooth and powerful! After riding for a hour off and on, I parked it in the garage and was on the phone and just happen to look under it there was a BIG pool of oil so I immediately start looking for the problem. Fortunately it was the OIL FILTER loose!!!! I was able to tighten it. Lucky enough it happened at home and not on the trail!!

Does the RSX have a low oil shutdown? I think it has a dry sump system so it's a bit different than having a oil pan full of oil.
